Justin Bieber Camp Issues Statement on Tour Cancellation

Justin Bieber just cancelled the rest of the dates on his “Purpose” world tour, due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

From Variety, after performing 154 shows on the tour, Bieber decided after much consideration, to cancel the remainder of the tour.

Shows remaining included:  Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and several remaining U.S. dates, including his August 5th performance at the Rose Bowl.

Refunds will be made available at the point of purchase.

In a statement released today, it read:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across six continents during this run. However, after careful consideration, he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

As you can imagine, there are many disappointed fans letting loose on social media. Bieber has yet to comment on his socials.

Bieber may face penalties for the cancellation of U.S. dates, which tend to be not insured against cancellation without a medical reason or some sort of “Force Majeure”, for instance, a war, or weather problems.
