Kelly Clarkson Could Be The First Judge On ‘American Idol’ Reboot

‘American Idol’ is officially coming back and we may have some info on the first person to sit on the judging panel.

It makes perfect sense to bring back the original American Idol winner to be a judge on the new show. According to TMZ, ABC has “serious interest” in Kelly Clarkson as a judge. She won the very first season of ‘American Idol’ in 2002. As for Kelly, her people are already clearing her schedule to make sure she’s available for the judging job.

Auditions for reboot of ‘AI’ will take place at Disney World and possibly Disneyland, versus the old show that would travel the country. This makes it easier on the judges and is more cost effective for the show. The new ‘Idol’ is also considering making the show once a week to also make it easier on the judges and the potential host, Ryan Seacrest.
