Sad news to report: Stacey Pierce, one of the two remaining survivors of the plane crash last week in Riverside, has died.
Stacey died from complications of her burns at Arrowhead Regional Hospital in Colton.
The 46-year old mother of 4 had been in Southern California to watch Pierce’s 12-year-old daughter in a cheerleading competition before flying back to their home in San Jose.
Their daughter took a school-chartered bus back home, but Pierce, her mom and stepfather flew back on a Cessna with another family, which crashed into a Riverside home. Her mom and stepfather were killed, as was a family friend.
Stacey suffered 3rd degree burns over 90% of her body, and had to have her legs amputated. Unfortunately, she passed away yesterday, March 8th, after life support was removed.
