Things To Do This Fall in the Coachella Valley

The social season in the Coachella Valley is a great time of the year. There are so many things to see and do in our great Valley. Here’s a list of events for you to check out!

1. Modernism Week Fall Preview, Palm Springs

Modernism is hugely popular in and around Palm Springs. The big event is in February, but the preview event is a great way to get ready for February. It takes place October 21-23  in Palm Springs.

2. Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade, El Paseo, Palm Desert

This year marks the 52nd annual Parade and it is a must see for the whole family! This years theme is, “Golf Carts, Ghosts & Glitter.” Let your imagination run wild and be among the thousands that will be on hand for the fun!

3. Howl-o-Ween at The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens, Palm Desert Indian Wells

This spooky adventure is always fun for the whole family! Kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes and enjoy the activities. Games and fun will be happening, Sunday, October 30th 10am-2pm and Monday 6pm-8:30pm.

4. Greater Palm Springs Pride Parade, Palm Springs

This is a great parade and one not to miss! You’ll see numerous fun groups, great classic cars, bands, floats and so much more. The parade is on Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, November 6th from 10am-noon.

5. Rancho Mirage Art Affaire, Rancho Mirage

This year marks the 16th annual Art Affaire and it happens Saturday, November 5th and Sunday November 6th from 9am-5pm rain or shine. It’s located in the beautiful Rancho Mirage Community Park and offers something for all art lovers!

6. McCormick’s Classic Car Auction, Palm Springs

McCormick’s have been having car auctions since in 1985. Car lovers from all over will be able to check out a great variety of autos up for auction on November 18th-20th. The Auction will take place at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

7. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, Palm Springs

Fall is the perfect time for a ride up the mountain on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Always one of the Coachella Valley’s top attractions. Be sure to bring your camera and a jacket too.

8. Take a Drive Along Highway 74, Palm Desert

Bring your family and friends and enjoy this scenic route on a crisp fall day. If you have the time, why not go from the desert to Idyllwild for an afternoon getaway!

9. Attend Your Favorite School’s Friday Night Football, All Over the Valley

Friday night football is so much for the whole family! Support your favorite team in those nice cool temperatures. It always means so much to all involved with the sports programs to know they have your support and it’s fun!

10. Pick a Park and Have a Picnic, Around the Valley

There are plenty of great parks all over the Coachella Valley and many are dog friendly. Pack your picnic basket and enjoy the beautiful fall temperatures. It could be a family affair or a romantic afternoon, you make the choice.
