Top 10 Places to Run in the Palm Springs Area

In an effort to help you stay on track with that New Year’s Resolution to be healthier, we’ve got you covered with some great spots that will make a run feel like an escape.

1. Running Wild, Palm Springs

We had to start the list with them, they’re more than just a store for our running needs but join the running wild running team and your legs and health will thank you later.

2. Butler-Abrams Trail, Palm Springs

With a good distance of 1.39 miles and the difficulty level measured as easy so this could be a great starter.

3. Indian Canyons, Palm Springs

This trail can be quite the adventure with options that include a Ranger led hike and beautiful surrounding scenery.

4. Ruth-Hardy Park, Palm Springs

Conveniently located behind the Desert Regional Medical Center, this park is the perfect get a way for those visiting patients at the nearby medical center.

5. Civic Center Park, Palm Desert

Offering well lit pavement for a great run, this park is filled with lots of excitement. Run through a game, ducks or even small hills, either way you won’t be disappointed with the experience.

6. Blixseth Mountain Park, Rancho Mirage

Running parallel to the Whitewater wash this trail over one mile will have you enjoying mountain views and golf course but come prepared because there are no restrooms or water fountains at this park.

7. Cancer Survivors Park, Rancho Mirage

Need a nice, calming, rejuvenating run?  This park has you covered.  With a sculpture garden, ponds and a hillside waterfall your run can feel like a spa treatment.

8. The Goat Trails, Palm Springs

Surrounded by many other trails, the goat trail is a little over seven miles and has a elevation of over eleven hundred feet.

9. Marion Mountaion, Palm Springs

This trail runs right into San Jacinto, over ten miles long will be a great workout.

10. Santa Rosa & San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitors Center, Palm Desert

This is your one stop shop.  Stop in to get your next trail map and discover what the desert as a whole has to offer!
